Louise Smith started First Choice Recruitment in 1999 with the help of a small loan from the Prince’s Trust and a desire to be different from other agencies in the sector. Louise wanted not just to provide a reliable service to the clients but she also wanted to take care of the workers. The thinking is that if we take care of the workers they will try harder to represent First Choice with the client.
15 years on First Choice has built has strong reputation for being trustworthy and reliable. The original desire to be different has not changed and we care as much today as Louise did when she started the business.
First Choice prides itself on trying that little bit harder and wherever practical we insist that workers attend our offices for a face to face meeting before they are sent to site. We ensure that they hold the correct certificates, have the right level of experience, the right to work in the UK and of course the right attitude.
We are committed to providing the construction industry with highly skilled and effective construction and logistics personnel. We achieve this by understanding the needs of our clients and making sure that all the welfare, safety and training requirements of our workforce are met. We inspire a strong sense of "team", from the workers on site to the managers in the office.
